With regard to these terrible Court decisions:
It is *CRITICAL* to resist the urge to give in to doomerism and declare that things not directly accomplished by the decision - removal of books from classrooms, age verification expanding to medical websites, and so on - are now the law.

I find myself returning once again to the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8 who annoys the unjust judge into granting her justice.
we are all understandably wondering "how afraid should i be?" but that's not actually a helpful question because even if it were answerable, the information wouldn't be useful. the question we need to be asking is "what power do i have?" and one thing i know for a fact you all can do is be annoying.
here is the unappealing truth: resistance means asserting yourself as a pest. one sting isn't sufficient; you've got to keep biting, till your voice is not only expected but bemoaned. right now, the best way to love your country is to make some underpaid staffer say "not *this* person again."

I just know that I'm doing the things I can, and making sure I'm ready to keep doing the things I can, because being almost helpless is a long damn way from being totally helpless. And filling that little gap can be damn powerful.

Preemptive surrender masquerading as cynical weariness is absolutely virulent rn, and we could probably be doing a better job on the whole of calling it out.
If "the rule of law is dead" no resistance matters beyond performance art, and that's just not a thing we have the luxury of conceding.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.
