1,000 pigeons thread. Pigeons will be posted below.

I will take 1,000 pictures of pigeons, and then I will do something. I am not quite sure what yet.

The 250 posts will be of quality ranging from "Bad" to "Maybe kind of okay", there might be a gem just because there are 1,000 photos.
So if you’re good at social stuff online and had a pizza shop in Birmingham getting a ton of new biz because of this what is your move?

Omg this lady on HGTV is running a $9k a month climate controlled storage bill a month for all her seasonal decor that she goes crazy hard on

If shes got that kind of money she should just become an owner operator of a small storage facility

First trip to dentist in 18 years:

They want to crown 7 teeth and fill 2 cavities and bleach them first so they’ll match the crown better and also have to do 2 deep cleans first.

That’s pretty bad right? How bad is that?

Dude basically compiles what happened when he went on a 2 month bender and left his agency/partner.

Some thoughts (long thread) on the future of junior developers as the industry faces AI changing how we work and the fundamental underpinnings of the pipeline of new learners in the field of programming that came up with @adolfont.github.io in another chat
What does your research focus on primarily?

For students, I have a lot of thoughts/concerns. I think that fundamentally, one of the best things that has happened to the field of tech as a whole was the lowering of barriers to entry via bootcamps and being a quick learner on your own etc.

Stopped working at 8:45 after logging on at 7:50 this AM and I lost track of time yet still am not done with what I needed to do today.

Mostly because of stupid things I can’t control. And bad processes. Le sigh.

They'll invent a $100M fixed capex cost & fight to roll back consumer favored reform just to say "fuck you" right to your stupid face & be applauded for it by shareholders

They have had sections on fearing this in their 10-K since '23

They were really scared!

This honestly went way better than I would have guessed. Good for Flatbush ave.
We're a little shy of two months into the new Flatbush Ave center running bus lane fragment and it seems like drivers have largely gotten the message:

🚌 FEAR THE BUS LANE. RESPECT THE BUS LANE. 🚌
