Aside from the glaring No True Scotsman fallacy in the government's conception of 'those who genuinly need disability benefits'. The framing that cutting benefits is somehow a kindness is patronising and either a knowing misdirection or demonstrative of a serious astrangement from the real world.

Imagine if a tenth of the money instead went to ensuring long term - and broad - access to education.
There’s never any money for Cardiff Uni, RWCMD, etc. but there’s plenty of money for this.

Wes Streeting’s drcision to ban puberty blockers for trans kids - but not c i s kids - was purely political. 59% of medics/organisations consulted OPPOSED (I will say that again - OPPOSED) a ban. And who were among that winning minority of 27%?

It occurs to me that universities like mine, that use automatic systems to record lecture halls, must have terabytes of recordings of empty rooms across the whole university.

Had to share this cause it annoys me. DS9 faced tons of hate, including racism. Watch the What We Left Behind doc for proof. Avery Brooks fought racism behind the scenes & even had to defend Cirroc Lofton after a security guard harassed him near set. Don’t rewrite history. Only Sisko can do that.

The next one might not be so benign as to only knock out a garage and clog a few streets. Action from the government shouldn’t take someone getting injured or killed.
