In 2024 I bicycled 4200 kilometers. And the total on my current bike at the end of 2024 was 14489 kms. I'll just pin this here so it's easy for me to follow on this year's numbers.
Why are we watch geeks like this? Waiting for a specific second on a specific day that I can take a pic with elevens all the way. Do I need a life? Do I need friends? At least I have a very cool vintage Casio that not only tells the time but also how poor I am. :D

Selittäkäähän meikämamulle yks asia: miten pysyä liukkailla jäisillä teillä pystyssä? Nyt joulukuussa tulee kuluneeksi 30 vuotta Suomessa ja en edelleenkään osaa tätä taitoa, mikä näemmä on natiivisuomalaisilla ihan geeneissä. Mun nastakenkien mekanismi on jumissa, joten nastoistakaan ei oo apua. 🙁

What some fun excessive trumpetry pieces out there? I love Janáček's sinfonietta with 14 trumpets. I have no idea if I even like the sheer madness of Khachaturian's 3rd symphony with its 15 trumpets but it's fun on occasion? I know I don't like the current US with one very loud orange Trumpet.

Hahaha! I just managed to scare a customer with some Janáček. They were just casually browsing some books when the super intense tremolos of the finale of the 2nd quartet came on (I linked to spot) and they literally jumped back and asked "what the fuck is that music?" :D

Kuuntele noi klipit ja kerro arvasitko oikein? Mä sain vain kaks ekaa oikein. Niissä musta Sibbe oli tosi helppo kuulla. Kolmas klippi meni multa väärin. Pitäis varmaan Sibbe-fanina nolostua, mut en mää jaksa. Ihan kivan kuuloisia nää Ida Mobergin klipit. Pitääkin kuunnella enemmän.

Lighter even than a lyric tenor but so elegant and pretty. I love his singing. Favero ain't bad either. 💚

Janáček was a bit of a creep. He sent unwanted love letters to a woman 40 years his junior and the 2nd of these quartets is basically those letters but in abstract music. Jesus this is passionate music. Amazing music. Janáček is long dead so I feel ok listening to this creep's music now. :D

Chop big onion and into oil. Add garam masala and garlic. Then add one jar of ready to eat chick peas and one jar of crushed tomatoes and one packet of frozen spinach. Let it boil for a bit. Serve on rice. Yummy, tastes vaguely like the real dish, fast, healthy.

Hämmentävä näky kun avasin duunipaikan (kirjadivari) oven: joku oli laittanut 1 markan ja 5 markan setelit vuodelta 1963 mun postilaatikosta. Noh, kai tääkin on paperille painettua tekstiä. Keksimme varmasti seteleille jotain käyttöä, joka ei nosta bruttokansantuotetta lainkaan! Että kiitoksia vaan!
