CD 12 is more Schumann and Rebecca Clarke. Piano Trios. Schumann's is famous and I was captivated by it from the start. Bobby's Trio might be more famous but it's obviously inspired by this. Clarke is DRAMATIC! OMG I love it. Clarke rocks.

Työtietokone alkoi tekeen päivityksiä kesken päivän, joten oli "pakko" kahvitella, kun ei vaan muutakan tehtävää ollut. Täytyy sanoa, että tää palkintoja voittanut etiopialainen pesty Danche on kyl mainio. Sen sijaan naturaali/pesemätön Danche olikin vähän meh. Outoa. Yleensä tykkään naturaleista.

Hämmentävä näky kun avasin duunipaikan (kirjadivari) oven: joku oli laittanut 1 markan ja 5 markan setelit vuodelta 1963 mun postilaatikosta. Noh, kai tääkin on paperille painettua tekstiä. Keksimme varmasti seteleille jotain käyttöä, joka ei nosta bruttokansantuotetta lainkaan! Että kiitoksia vaan!

Hämmentävä näky kun avasin duunipaikan (kirjadivari) oven: joku oli laittanut 1 markan ja 5 markan setelit vuodelta 1963 mun postilaatikosta. Noh, kai tääkin on paperille painettua tekstiä. Keksimme varmasti seteleille jotain käyttöä, joka ei nosta bruttokansantuotetta lainkaan! Että kiitoksia vaan!

CD5 is a wonderful Kullervo. The point where the male choir enters after half an hour of instrumental music must be one of the most impactful moments in ALL of music. Two very good soloists - especially Soile Isokoski is stupendous. Brilliant choir. Yeah, this is among the best Kullervos I've hears.

CD5 is a wonderful Kullervo. The point where the male choir enters after half an hour of instrumental music must be one of the most impactful moments in ALL of music. CD10 is Fanny Mendelssohn's piano sonatas played quite brilliantly by Gaia Sokoli. This is exciting early-ish romantic music just as you would expect from her brother. She has just as brilliant a melodic gift as her more famous bro. I liked the G minor sonata (1843) more than the couple earlier...

Mä hups ihan vahingossa vähän sateenkaaritin työpaikkaa lisää. Mut sit tajusin, ettei tommoinen sateenkaari ees oo kauhean näkyvä. Toi missä se on kiinni on meidän LGBT+ -hylly, ni pitäisikö siihen hankkia ihan oikeat sateenkaari- ja transliput? Oisko vähän näyttävämpi?

CD3: Symphonies 3 and 5 tonight. Wow. Amazing performances. Neither went to this particular nanosecond's fave ever but both are outstanding. For 3 I still go for Maazel's Philly and for 5 I'll go Karajan's EMI '77 version. But both are just about at that level. Brilliant 3 and 5. <3
