I like having a president who is outspoken and opinionated.

Especially when they speak out in defense of the vulnerable, the oppressed, and the marginalised.

That's the kind of president that everyone deserves!

The commentators talk about the team asking difficult questions.

In my mind the difficult questions are things like: How many cans of 7UP can fit in a standard sized double decker bus?

Just started on the first series of Blue Lights (thanks to some VPN jiggery-pokery). It's good telly.

If the US government aren't spending any money during the shutdown, does that mean they also suspend applying any taxes?

Just been watching the film When Harry met Sally, and I'm minded now to go take my wife to a New Year's Eve ball. But I'm not sure if anywhere does that kind of thing anymore.

A 30km/h default urban speed limit will save lives.

Dilution and delays will cost lives.
Opinion: We could make our towns safer for everyone by lowering speed limits to 30km/h
The government is dragging its feet on reducing the default speed limit in urban areas to 30 km/h, writes Councillor Feljin Jose.

St Vincent's Private hospital has a newly opened Emergency Department. Although it's not like EDs in public hospitals. It's only for people with a referral from their GP, is by appointment only (no walk ins), treats a limited range of conditions, and only operates 8-5 Mon to Fri.
