There are a lot of different philosophies for NFL owners, but the one where you get in a pissing contest with your best player and then trade him instead of paying him and then watch your team go from mediocre to damn near impossible to watch is an interesting one.

As always: Jets pass up the fourth-and-1, have to go for it on fourth-and-8.
"Gotta play the field position game!" and then the Broncos immediately march downfield to get back where the Jets punted. When your defense has been terrible all season, counting on it to keep playing well because they have so far is really short-sighted.
Analytics can account for the other offense not being great I promise!
