Rewatching Heat. Can’t think of many other movies where every single performance, right down to the single-scene bit players, is so thoroughly riveting and essential to the plot. Masterpiece.

Super cool. Reminds me of the time my Grandma created the "Best Grandson in the World Prize" and - you'll be shocked - I won.

Man, what a slog it was setting up my son's PC vs setting up a Mac. Endless permissions windows, telling countless MS programs to go away over and over again, pointless bloatware, annoying stickers...what a headache. Windows is an OS for masochists and little kids.

Boo, Drew Struzan died. His art was all over my walls for my entire childhood.

I really enjoy Bluesky, even though the Thai-based peeps are super limited. I mostly use it to keep up on world news, but the more I read about the world news, the less I want to know about world news. Yikes.

Gonna keep this handy for when my son says he doesn't like school.

💯 I love sleeping, but I hate going to bed.
Sure, GI Joe taught us that knowing is half the battle, but they never said the other half is getting a good night’s sleep.

We are FUCKED.

Rafting in Chiang Mai was a little bit more intense in spots than I had planned for. Filming with my new iPhone 17 made it even more nerve-racking.

Incredible few days spent exploring the hill tribe areas of Northern Thailand. Lots of nature, lots of food, lots of photos.

How do you say “I don’t know what else to tell you man, put the address in Google maps and follow the little blue line” in Thai?

Really didn't enjoy the new Superman movie. Perhaps I'm just too tied to the Reeve versions I watched obsessively as a kid, but this new one was a pretty basic monster/robot sci-fi flick. It lacked heart and emotional resonance.

Started watching this tonight and thought it would be meh but it’s really bloody good, tote through the entire first season in two sessions.

Always cringed so much growing up around this hick cosplaying. If you haven’t just gotten off of, are on, or are about to get on a horse, no one the 21st century should wear a cowboy hat.

Hey quick question - everyone assumes President Cheeto just uses too much makeup, but has anyone checked to see if his liver is still functioning? Dude looks an orange crayon.

Yes please. Apple is woefully behind the ball on the AI scene. Siri is in last place, by a mile.

Reading lots about Pixar's Elio bombing at the box office. Terrible marketing - I'm a film nerd AND a Pixar nerd and I had no idea it was even being made. Went to see it with my son - not their best, but still very good and a fun family watch. Any movie with bookend narration by Carl Sagan is a win.
