It's not standard practice, or at least not if you want a fair outcome, to advise one side on how to screw the other when negotiating a peace. Especially not when you are helping the aggressor rob the victim

Ukraine never wanted this war. Russia invaded our country. Nobody in this world wants peace more than Ukrainians, whose towns and villages are being razed, whose children are being abducted, whose families are being burned alive in their own homes by Russian drones and missiles.
