This makes zero sense. If you want peace, you have to impose the sanctions. Then you have leverage. Trump is enabling Russia’s war, just as Moscow hoped and expected. He just does what he is told. Not even by Putin directly. By Putin’s underlings. Over and over.

It pains me to write this, as the US is a great country with millions of talented, hardworking people who have contributed immensely to the world. Watching it rapidly descend into an autocracy, abandoning moral principles while indulging in blatant corruption is painful for me personally
