If a donor buys $100 million of ads that lie about a candidate, that's free speech. If a newspaper publishes a poll, with crosstabs, that ends up being wrong, that is election interference.
everything is speech now, except for actual speech, which is unfortunately election interference.
Trump's lawyers call a newpaper publishing information that might affect the eleciton "Election Interference" and argue it's some kind of tort, as opposed to Consitutionally protected speech. Also a poll published in parnership with a paper is "leaked" to it? www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...
