Found this photo of @racheljs.bsky.social and me earlier, not long after we'd got together, so probs early 2020 before the bloody COVID shenanigans. I am noticeably more grey about the follicle output, but happy to report that Rachie is still jolly gorgeous 🥰

A new law could give millions of us better rights at work, but corporate lobbyists & politicians are trying to gut it. Tell the Government: protect workers, not profits!

UK Government: Keep your promise to protect workers

The Phantom is in a very bad way. Send positive thoughts.

I've replied with my thoughts.
A Douglas DC-3 airplane crashed on the roof of a house in Ruislip, London, England shortly after takeoff. Everyone in the plane and the house miraculously survived. A four-month-old baby in the upstairs bedroom of the house slept through the chaos. December 1946.

In other news, it is day two of my holibobs. I'm finishing these off today and priming them before going away for a few days tomorrow. And, unusually for me, I'm indulging in a spot of daytime drinking 👍😁🍻🤣🤣

#VJ80 I'm not sure what to type here really. My beloved 100 Squadron were on Singapore when the Japanese invaded. They were cut to pieces during the Battle of Endau (like the Battle of Britain, but forgotten) and many of my boys died in captivity, or were sunk on the hell ships. I've never forgotten

A shade over an hour's work later. Bogies and body assembled, just waiting for the glue to go off overnight now. Then final assembly, and she'll be in the paintshop at the weekend when I get home 👍🙂

I don't know why I haven't thought of this before, but the recent free cutting mat with #railwaymodeller magazine from #peco has inspired me to assemble a "go box" and bring along a couple of wagon kits to build while working away this week. First up, a WW1 WD ambulance van 👍🙂

Model Railway chums, is there anywhere I can buy 00-gauge semaphore signal arms? Just the arms. I have some N-gauge signal arms for my 009 layout, but the arms are too small, so I want to try 00-gauge arms on the posts. Can't find any online...

COVID day 2, and I've been outting my time to good use. the weathering on the distillery transfer little (big) diesel shunter is coming along nicely. It looks shiny, but that's a wet coat of matte varnish, it'll dry dull.

Great video of the Red Arrows flying over Buck House in London to celebrate VE Day. Using your mouse or trackpad on your PC, or your fingers on your phone or tablet, you can swing the view through 360 degrees. I got to 180 degrees, and saw the pilot's headrest 🤣☠️🤣
