Someone in the audience cries every time I play a song about my dogs who passed in '21, '22.
I just wrote a sadder song. Every month-ish, I have hyper-realistic dreams about them. In the new song, the dreams are a glimpse of "dog heaven."
Do other artists have to dissociate to play certain songs?

I setup my own music streaming server on an spare phone. Reripped my old CDs to lossless, replaced lossy mp3s from years ago. Buying CDs again, too, mostly used. 25k+ songs is about 200gb. Still some lossy files, though. I also put it all on a microsd in my current phone, and a backup.

If we can just pool together enough disappointment, that'll surely change the administration's minds.

Dem leaders certainly know all about disappointment.

My 3rd year in a row with a goal to write 100 songs. I was only at 31 to start Oct. I wrote 16 in Oct, 27 in Nov, 26 in Dec. I thought I hit 100 early this afternoon, but I had one on my list twice. So I wrote another.
Trying to take a writing break to finish some recording and release some soon.

I was talking about this with my uncle the other day. I thought Einstein was reclusive for the last few decades of his career and life.

He wasn't.

He was denouncing racism by teaching & speaking at Black collages and organisations.

White people need to know that for his work to be understood
The Black community around Princeton gave Einstein an entrance into the civil rights movement. He joined the NAACP and the American Crusade Against Lynching (ACAL), an organization founded by Paul Robeson.

Einstein had a 20-year friendship with Robeson; he also wrote for W.E.B. Du Bois's mag.

Recording my 1st album. I chose a short deadline, hoping it'd push me. I still find ways to avoid it. Yesterday, I actually tried to record bass, but it was quiet with a lot of fret buzz. I got it recently and hadn't done a setup. Full setup took 3 hours, but now it plays great. I'll try again today

This is an important reminder for anyone who thinks it won’t happen to them. It has happened to at least 70 people LEGALLY in the US. They do not just target people here illegally. And these are old numbers. The current number is likely much higher.

Once again, Rep Jeffries shrinks from the moment and leadership his position requires. It's almost like he thinks House Minority Leader means he's only allowed to use minor leadership. Major leadership is only for Majority Leaders.
Asked if he supports the war powers resolution (would require Trump to seek authorization from Congress for war with Iran), Hakeem Jeffries says: "I haven't taken a look at it."

I've been really overdoing it lately. I gave myself far too much to do, and I'm about to be forced to cut way back. I tweaked a muscle in my lower back 2 days ago, and I re-aggravated my herniated disc today, L5/S1. I just need to get through tomorrow's tree planting with school kids.

It is an ICE agent taking an axe to the car window of an immigrant in New Bedford, MA. Not far from where I sit now. An immigrant with no criminal record was abducted by this smiling man.

An axe taken to a car window and to our democracy. 1/

Went off my adhd meds for a month, supplements too, due to a health issue. I wasn't sure the cause, so I wanted to be safe. Today's my 1st day back. I took a lower dose. When I 1st started them, it took me a while to realize they were working, but going off and back on is very noticeable.

My mom sent me a poem my grandma wrote that was published in a Washington state high school poetry anthology in 1939. I turned it into a song. The first verse is my grandma's poem, then I wrote the rest. I was kind of expecting to sit with it a while, but it came pretty easily.
