Trumpville 2025

Republican leaders want us to choose between food and medicine as they take back their tax payments and gild their ballrooms.
SNAP benefits are about to lapse for 42 million people, because nothing says “save the children” like starving them.

The Democrats voted to save the health care of Americans. So the Republicans shut down the government. Plain and simple.
Let me be clear: this will impact ALL of us. It’s bigger than just Medicaid & Medicare. We will all pay the price.

This is how Trump rewards the people who put him in power.
Re: Comey’s impending indictment.

Nobody should support this. You don’t want to live in a place where the president can have you indicted via tweet.

I’m sure we’re going to skip right over the GOP folks who did the same thing they’re saying Comey did, too.

Nor 2026 -- at least, not a viable one.
Wake up, America, or I fear we may not have elections in 2028.

And none of them are using their power to restore American democracy.
The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

For what it's worth "Baseball Reference" shows a MLB Average ERA as 3.90 for year 1959, 3.70 for year 1975, and 4.14 for year 2025 -- so far. This does not take into account starters vs. relievers.
#Orioles' Trevor Rogers lowered his ERA from 1.41 to 1.40.

It's the best by a pitcher through 13 starts of a season in O's history (since 1954).

1. Rogers -- 1.40 in '25
2. Hoyt Wilhelm -- 1.50 in '59
3. Jim Palmer -- 1.55 in '75

Again -- that's better than 2 Hall of Famers.

The answer is blowin' in the wind. Or as many as are left before it's too late, unless enough of the nation is effectively exposed to them enough to grasp them.

Too expensive to watch a AA team. Espec. if you bought your tix while the post-injury O's were playing .600 ball in June-July. Some lifelong die-hards may not live long enough to see a competitive team. The O's mean too much for some fans to merely hope again while mgmt. plays fantasy baseball.
Watching the 2025 Orioles season play out and then developing a plan that requires people to commit even MORE money and time to hang onto their season tickets for next year is (as is oft remarked to Cotton) a bold strategy.
The Orioles are rolling out modified season ticket packages for Birdland Members beginning with the 2026 campaign, and with them comes the introduction of 20-game and 40-game ticket packages in place of the former 13-game and 29-game plans. www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/oriol...

Why don't we hear it mentioned that, if not for the Covid vaccine, we would still have a pandemic killing an untold thousands upon thousands of people?

No Kings March June 14 -- There are many, many millions of Americans who are profoundly against the Trump Administration. All of us, not just thousands, need to get out there this time for these marches. No one should stay on the sidelines & just root for us or watch clips on TV.

American leaders must call this out immediately in resounding unison. These are the words of an Un-American President.
Classy as expected. You know what? He can wallow in his victimhood and misery.

How about the rest of us go just enjoy the day and honor our fallen.

This week, Dems need to threaten Congressmen with recall elections. By 2026, Musk & Co. may well have technological election sabotage mechanisms in place. This recall tactic could change a few Congressional votes esp. in light of the mass protests.
