if you haven’t watched this speech in full by French senator, Claude Malhuret, it’s very very much worth the eight minutes of your time to take it in:

Donald Trump returning to the White House will be deeply worrying for millions of people in the UK and around the world. With a President who promises trade wars, undermines NATO and praises Vladimir Putin, the threats to our national security and our economy are clear.

Just cannot bear to see the Inauguration and
adulation of this heinous criminal who has no respect for the Office he holds,so spending the afternoon cleaning the kitchen and reorganising my herbs, spices, vinegars and oils.

Had a lovely few days with a flying visit from our daughter. Walks in the frosty sunshine, out for lunch, coffee in the port and lots of chat about her wedding plans. Love family time with the wee girl. ❤️

Veggie tagine in the Ninja tonight. An hour in the fridge to marinade then 10 minutes on high pressure. A January favourite and half to freeze.

@mrsgl40.bsky.social good to see you here! It takes a while to rediscover the people you followed on the other place but it's worth it. Far more civilised.

Anyone else had Elmo follow them on here? I've never blocked anyone more quickly.

Making a permanent move over here this week as I have closed my Twitter account. I've barely used it over the last year so it's no loss. This is so much nicer.

Vibrant flowers growing in the garden yesterday. The sunshine is making them spring into life.

I LOVE spring! And the Merlin app. Out in the garden tidying up and these are the birds singing in the garden in the last 10 minutes. Nature's symphony ❤️

Just checked in to Twitter to see if it's still a rancid cesspit, only to laugh till my sides ached at the headbangers theory that Kate Middleton has had a BBL. Seriously!? Stop sniffing the prit sticks.

Soring:The winter's gloom has lifted. The sun is shining,it's 17'. The birds are singing & feasting on nuts & seeds. Liam's planting bulbs,we are drinking good coffee & there's a curious, fat bumblebee investigating every bit of my left sleeve.
This morning feels like an awakening after slumbers.

Well! Wonka was simply wonderful! A joyful film.Stellar cast. Hugh Grant is brilliant.Made by the same team as the Paddington films & it shows. You might come out of the film wondering if you've taken a creative amount of drugs, but let go and just enjoy the magic.

When you're driving along and you hear a strange noise coming from the car's air-con vents... Then you find a baby frog under the bonnet. 😂

Cooking day. Roast chicken dinner, mincemeat tart, jam tarts and cheese and garlic pinwheels. Love cooking when it's dreich outside.

Humans, it seems, only ever learn from their own experience, never (or never deeply) from someone else's. Like a child told not to touch the hot oven. We understand it intellectually, but we don't feel it. We don't feel someone else's pain, fear, or failure. So we touch.
