Missing my dad today. He died last year. He was a proud Scotsman and an avid poker player. He loved nothing more than his kids and grandkids. A couple months ago I got this thistle bouquet tattoo in his memory.

Me and my 1 year old have been picketing with the striking nurses at Meriter a few times this week. Just driving around in the push car and honking. When nurses strike it’s to improve patient care and benefits the whole community.

I imagine putting my child to bed hungry even once would break me. Meanwhile thousands of kids in Gaza are about to die of starvation. I don’t understand how those complicit can sleep at night. Donate and support families in Gaza and orgs working to get them aid.

Straight people use weaponized incompetence to avoid learning basic queer cultural competency all the time. Intelligent and successful professionals will be like “oh I’m just bad at using gender inclusive language”. No. You just don’t care and haven’t tried. Capability isn’t the problem.
