So, for anybody out there who’s read Thomas Pynchon’s latest, “Shadow Ticket.” I feel a lot of the motorcycle oriented bit of the last bit of the book resonated with his feelings about the death of his close friend, Richard Fariña, to whom he dedicated Gravity’s Rainbow.

Finished Death by Lightning - equal parts great and devastating. Logical follow up? Listened to Sondheim’s Assassins. Verdict - same.
