A Russian woman lost her son in the war in Ukraine, so she decided to kidnap a Ukrainian child as a replacement.

International criminal Putin listens to the story with a smile on his face.

Sick.

The second worst person online is the one who says “well after Trump destroys everything we will rebuild something better than what we had”

I would say that we had we, imperfect as it was, was ok. Maybe we shouldn’t let perfection be the enemy of the decent

I’m all for goodness over greatness.

Both left and right here online are like Men and Mordor, grasping for the Ring of Power, but some of us would be ok just living ok lives as hobbits in our holes.

Much good will be lost and I don’t appreciate the joy from both left and right about the destruction.
this is a sentiment you hear largely from centrists who have never had any ambition other than a long national decline

What the fuck is wrong with centrism. Slow decline can also lead to slow incline. Revolutions destroy lives. Boring times have produced many happy, meaningful lives of simple joys.

The leftists on here are ok with the possibility of 30 thirty years of fascism if it gives them the dream to replace muddling centrism with some dreamed dictatorship of the proletariat.

This is such a fucked view of our present situation I can’t tell if it’s satire.

“Sure in 1933 you were facing WWII and the Holocaust destroyed millions of lives, and ruined generations of hope until the late 80s, but West Germans had pleasant times by the late 60s.”
We’ve heard the ‘descent into Nazism’ analogies a bazillion times, but the flip side is, once nazism was beaten, it took (West) Germany way less than a generation to become a pleasant, stable, prosperous place to live again.

I was listening to some Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy while in the pickup line for our son at kindergarten, and that music seems as timely now as it did 30 years ago.

An introduction to this project: we're a small game studio based in South Louisiana. Our first release NORCO (2022) is a sci-fi graphic adventure set in the New Orleans suburbs. Gameplay resembles Hideo Kojima's Snatcher or a modernized MacVenture such as Deja Vu.

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.

Smashed records.

This was superseded by ANSI C hardware, which stood for A Nano Scale Implementation of the C Abstract Machine.
the “C” in “CPU” stands for the C Programming Language. CPUs are called that because they are a hardware implementation of the C Abstract Machine as specified by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22/WG 14.

Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right, only excluding children born to foreign diplomats.

From USCIS (for now): “diplomatic officers do not acquire citizenship under the 14th Amendment since they are not “born . . . subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.””
