The most frustrating thing about continuing failure to skewer Farage is that his grasp of detail is non-existent. It’s why he gets petulant when exposed to even mildly decent questions. Interviewers just need to zone in on one element of the bullshit & interrogate it until his ignorance is exposed.
Farage on #r4today decrying the increase in costs & red tape since Brexit & calling for Brexit to be “done properly”.
No longer part of the customs union/single market -both of which simplified bureacracy- the costs & red tape on trade have ofc ballooned.
Why was this not put to him directly?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social the end segment today was distressing and painfully powerful. You could hear the impact and weight in Ros’ voice. My heart breaks for Wissam and his family. If our media ecosystem was filled with more journalists and stories like that, we wouldn’t need their impact as badly.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social listening on catch up, but the last hour felt relevant. I’m 31, my dad is 60 and was round this weekend doing a bit of DIY at my house. I stuck The Young Ones on tv and the work stopped for about an hour while we just sat together and laughed. No words spoken but felt special.
