Lately I got re-hooked, all these years after it launched on Gran Turismo 7.

Like contemplating buying a sim rig level of hooked.

So I thought the F1 movie (while like a 7/10) made a really compelling case to me, someone who’d never watched 1 minute of Formula One, for what makes the sport interesting.

So I decided to watch the last two races and I’m totally hooked. #f1

I loved Superman. It’s big and beautiful and very messy and wears its heart on its sleeves. Nitpicks a plenty, but I don’t think it matters when you have this much of a soul.

Idk 1995 looked pretty different?
Lea.Thompson, quite wisely: “If you made Back to the Future in 2025 and they went back 30 years, it would be 1995 and nothing would look that different. The phones would be different but it wouldn’t be like the strange difference between the 80s and the 50s and how different the world was."

The time travel comedy was a surprise smash in 1985 and remains a Hollywood touchpoint and as it reaches a major anniversary, those who made it share their memories

Honestly yeah fuck this. At this point if someone is reading any book it's a win.
Been thinking more and more about how the internet warped everyone's brains into thinking everything someone does is "performative" and meant for public scrutiny. You know we all used to just... read books and watch films etc. we liked and no one else even knew?

Is it OK to read Infinite Jest in public? Why the internet hates ‘performative reading’
Posts mocking strangers for cracking open classics have become popular. So where are we supposed to read them?

Just thinking this morning about how one of the best things I've done recently is a) move myself off Safari and onto Brave across all my devices, and then b) subscribe to Kagi.

No AI slop search responses. Almost no ads. And when I do see them they aren't creepy targeted ads.

. @adobe.com 's continued bastardization of the iPad Lightroom app is infuriating.

Still no keyboard shortcuts when docked.

Removed the camera profile manager.

Removed the preset manager.

Added "AI credits" though.

The OG switch had Breath of the Wild and not much else for like six months. The Switch 2 has a much deeper library ready to go, as well as a signature launch title that is a sequel to the 5th best selling game of all-time. Like it's fine.
Hot take:

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup it totally fine.

Everyone saying "but there's no breath of the wild" like yeah of course, one system ever had a Breath of the Wild quality game as a launch title, because Breath of the Wild was a once ever event.

I've been pretty disillusioned with Apple (intelligence) the last year or so but I think @snell.zone hits it right on here, and I came away from the keynote way more excited about where Apple is going. Less appeasing pundits, more back to things they can do well.
