Diese Geschichte ist unfassbar.

If the Flamingo missile works well, it is also interesting as an export object. Many European countries could use a long-range ground based cruise missile.
On thing to note is that the long-range strike issue is one area where the Merz government handled matters well.

I am not a fan of the decision not to supply Taurus in the end, as the political signal would have been important.

Exactly. It is actually the job of European leaders today to be an obstacle to a bad solution.
I think it’s just fine to “cast oneself as an obstacle” to bullying.

In Syrien leben Millionen Menschen

Exactly. The best way to help Ukriane's democracy is to give them the weapons they need to win the war so martial law can be lifted and there can be elections.
I stand with Ukrainians, who have shown time and again that they will not abide tyranny, whether it comes from without or within. Zelensky made a mistake. He will pay the price when elections come. But Ukrainians will not thank us now or later if we use this as an excuse to abandon their defense.

Some Western commentators seem excited that Trump allegedly asked Zelensky if he could bomb Moscow and St. Petersburg. In reality, the most telling thing is that Trump apparently doesn't know Ukraine is already doing that.

A high 3-digit number of missiles sounds like something that will make a substantial difference – as opposed to the fairly small number of ATACMS missiles that the US provided.

I can only think of one thing that Putin can do to save the economy, but he won't do it: Stop the war.
Putin:

"Some specialists and experts point to the risks of stagnation and even recession. This, of course, must not be allowed to happen."

Good thing that's how the economy works - following dictatorial orders.
