Mission accomplished for US administration and Farage and Co.

What a time to live in when you can’t call the most corrupt US president corrupt because he will sue you.

I’m sure this will get as much outrage and coverage from @lbc.co.uk, GB News and the RW bias media.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Good morning to everyone apart from the United team.

I’ve been a fan 30+ years and I’ve never been so let down.

Forget the last 5 games, there are players in there who couldn’t give a toss and only play when we are winning. We are going nowhere with that in the squad.

Slightest hint of pressure or expectation and we are woeful again.

All were really bad but Shaw, Fernandes and Casemiro (in the first half) were the worst. Ugh.

I’d have thought nothing cuts more against our precious British values than selling out your country for Russian bribes…

And yet Reform, the right‑wing press, and all those self‑styled guardians of these values have nothing to say

…funny that.

A prominent member of a UK political party has been jailed for doing the work of a hostile state. He acted in the exact same way as that Party’s leader and yet whether Keir Starmer is in trouble is the main talking point this morning.

Treason = not worth covering.

This seems like a good time to remind people that everyone in politics and media knew very well that Johnson was a bent, disastrous imbecile and that he was made Tory leader *specifically because* he was the candidate the Mail, the Sun, the Times, the Telegraph and the Express would all get behind.

Covid Enquiry = Johnson was dangerous and his cabinet was reckless.

Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

There’s a Russian spy ship off Scotland shining lasers at RAF pilots patrolling our skies and the Kremlin is sending drones into NATO airspace while Trump has betrayed us with a ‘peace plan’ for Ukraine that amounts to surrender.

Where are the outraged ‘British patriots’?

🚨 BREAKING: Kent County Council is hurtling towards financial oblivion under Reform.

A shocking new council report reveals a projected budget black hole of £46.5 million for this year. The Reform Administration has completely lost control of our finances. 🔶

When your back benchers are against it and Farage and Co are for it, it probably tells you your new policy is the wrong choice…on many levels.

With Mahmood, Starmer and McSweeney at the helm @teamlabouruk.bsky.social could be in deep trouble.

I hope every Labour MP considering whether to support Shabana Mahmood's asylum plans remembers Nigel Farage's assessment that the “Home Secretary sounds like a Reform supporter.”

If they support them they will too.

Labour are not only fucked with people who wouldn’t support them, they’ve now managed to alienate people who would.

Never been so disappointed in a government (I expected it from Boris etc.,)

They had 1 job, take the fight to the far right. Abject failure if not appeasement.

Do you hear that….yes that’s thousands more running to the Greens and/or ripping up their Labour membership.

Now do you hear the silence…that’s no Reform voters going the other way.

Incomprehensible, reprehensible and political cowardice.
Shabana Mahmood on the BBC this morning talking about desperate people fleeing war and persecution as being given a "golden ticket" and "handouts" and saying she's got a "moral mission" to take them away from them

Labour's strategy of telling its supporters to back Reform-style policies, or get a Reform Government, is the politics of the protection racket and it is not going to work

Nail. Head.
It's the cowardice that did it for me too. I voted Labour 18 months ago hoping to end the performative cruelty and now I'm living in a far right hellscape of grotty flags on every lamppost and the BBC on the brink of collapse. The lack of leadership is utterly unforgivable.

As Simon said, the whole BBC thing is Trump doing the work for his lap dog Farage and easing his route to No.10.

It is nothing more than a demolition job led by the US and … surprise surprise… GB News.

On Monday, Rachel Reeves was berated for maybe raising taxes to find £30b. The same news stations are now saying she’s naive if she doesn’t because we need the money.

What’s the point in following any UK news outlets? It’s not there to inform, it’s just there to make you angry.

Rachel Reeves is coming for the 2p machines 🤣🤣🤣
You may have missed this gem yesterday. From which we learn that:

1. Betting shops are really good for the mental health of isolated people.
2. Most drug-takers are not a problem.
3. Kids put tuppence in slot machines in the hope of getting rich.
4. Farage probably has a gambling industry donor.

Summary of Nick Ferrari’s LBC show this morning:

Racist abuse of NHS staff is fine because I want to fly “my flag”.

I thought he was a bad journo but he’s just a bad human. Who sees that story and turns it into “where should I able to fly my flag”?

First to clap during covid though I bet. Dirt.
