A vicious 🔄 - we all know steroids contribute to weight ⬆️ , but this study by Cimmino et al also demonstrates how a higher BMI is associated with increased pain & fatigue in PMR patients.

Of course these symptoms often results in higher doses of steroids…

Worth a read:

Some real world data on Rituximab or Tocilizumab (in combo with Mycophenolate) in SSc-ILD.

Both stabilised lung function.

It appears males were more likely to respond to RTX. Interesting 🤔

Using anticonvulsants (gabapentin, pregabalin) for many kinds of pain is WAY up. And this study links those drugs to 30% more hip fractures … a far worse outcome for those patients than any pain they were trying to treat.
