The Democratic Party has been throwing working people under the bus for a while.

It’s encouraging to see people waking up to it, as it has become unsustainable.

Welcome aboard. Let’s demand better: a political party that choosing working people over owner-donors.

Cowardice is Democrats acting as though a government shutdown would be on them, while Republicans hold the House, Senate, and White House.

The mega donors are happy, though.

AOC: It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we've been sent here to protect social security, protect medicaid, and protect medicare.

Senate Democratic leadership essentially played dead today and greenlit the Trump-Musk-Vance coup. What is the point of the Democratic Party if it doesn't actually act like an opposition party? Hello?

Musk and Trump are working feverishly to cut Social Security, Medicaid, the VA, public education, nutrition and other programs.

Why? So Musk and other billionaires can get a huge tax break.

Together, we’re not going to let them get away with that.

Trump and Musk are going after Social Security, Medicaid, the VA, and public education.

In what universe, in what world, in what religion is it morally acceptable to cut programs for hungry children in order to reward the wealthy?

I have talked to veterans all over the country. They’re not happy that, when the VA is already understaffed, Musk wants to dismember the VA by laying off 83,000 employees.

A commitment has been made to those who put their lives on the line to defend us. We must not betray them.

The massive income and wealth inequality that exists in America today is literally a matter of life and death.

People in wealthy counties live SEVEN years longer than people in poorer communities. That’s unacceptable.

EVERYONE has the right to a long, happy and productive life.

Elon Musk's plan to cut the Social Security Administration's staff by 50% would cause 37,000 more Americans to die each year waiting to receive their disability benefits while the average wait time to collect these benefits would jump to 412 days.

That is beyond unacceptable.

Mr. Musk plans to layoff 83,000 workers at the VA. That means lower quality care for our vets. Unacceptable.

I agree with the VFW: The VA must “reconsider its planned reduction of 83,000 employees & thoroughly review any proposed cuts prior to rolling out further announcements.”

Cutting off humanitarian aid to millions of civilians is a war crime. That is exactly what the extremist Netanyahu government is doing now to Palestinians in Gaza.

I’ve introduced resolutions to block billions in offensive arms sales to Israel & will demand votes on these bills.

Lincoln talked about a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

Today, with Trump as our president, we have a government of the billionaires, by the billionaires, for the billionaires.

For the first time in 10 years, a child has died from measles in the United States.

Vaccines prevent measles.

Americans need to hear our top health officials say clearly: every child in America should get vaccinated against this terrible disease.

Let’s be clear: the Dept. of Ed. provides resources to 26 million children living in high-poverty school districts; Pell Grants to over 7 million students; & funding for millions of children with disabilities.

Closing its doors would be a disaster for working class families.

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

Really think about how twisted this all is.

They have nothing. Nothing. They kidnapped a legal resident, shipped him across the country, denied access to his attorney, and are now trying to deport him. And their only justification for it is either protected speech or vague descriptions of alleged crimes committed by other people.
Reporter: What crime did Mahmoud Khalil commit to warrant his arrest and threatened deportation?

Mike Johnson: We are going to arrest your tail and send you home where you belong. This is just getting started. I appreciate free speech, I used to defend it in courts. This is far beyond the pale.

People should be this upset that the Trump administration is taking a stance against the First Amendment, that 68,000 Americans die each year due to lack of healthcare, that 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
