What I’ve learned from wildfires where my family and friends lost everything and political disruption where your communities safety and livelihoods are thrown in jeopardy is that you get 1 week (MAYBE 2 weeks if you’re lucky) before the “circling back” emails start up again…

This moment is hard & I think it’s pretty normal to feel beaten down & question your ability to influence positive outcomes in the world. I found this piece by @beingbrina.bsky.social to be a really powerful antidote to that sort of creeping pessimism
