#BlueCrew on BlueSky. I post a lot about music between mourning the shame of the nation. And I love #LeaThompson.

Happy 40th anniversary to #BackToTheFuture.

So happy to see @leathompson.bsky.social and #WendieMalick from THE CHICKEN SISTERS celebrating.

There's so much I'd love to say about Lea's performance, which is as brilliant as Christopher's and Crispin's. It proved her to be a bombshell comedienne.

Lea Thompson had a small role in the Nicolas Cage-led LEFT BEHIND. And I felt she escaped with more of her dignity than the one-time Oscar-winner did.

Seeing Lea in HOWARD THE DUCK primed me to appreciate her presence no matter the circumstances. Even in JAWS 3-D and THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES.

Hate on #HowardTheDuck all you want, but there's a reason I fell in love with Lea Thompson as a boy.(and still do now).

Her alluring comic charm is just as irrestible as her singing voice.

I must stick with lovely Lea Thompson.

Flirtatious (JAWS 3-D), but able to mix in subversive comedy (BACK TO THE FUTURE) and magnetic singing (HOWARD THE DUCK). A woman of action (EXIT SPEED), raw emotion (TEN TRICKS) and also a family-devoted director (THE YEAR OF SPECTACULAR MEN).

Stephen Tobolowsky is a consummate character actor.

In Alan Parker's MISSISSIPPI BURNING (1988), he stood out among the likes of Brad Dourif, R. Lee Ermey and Michael Rooker. That was a genuinely frightening moment.

I already got the Criterion Blu-ray of A ROOM WITH A VIEW (I took full advantage of the Barnes & Noble half-price sale, more on that later).

It's definitely worth a place in the library whether in sickness and in health.

And Denholm Elliott is as wonderful as Maggie Smith.
Sick day movie #2.
It’s impossible not to feel a bit better in such beautiful landscapes as those in Merchant-Ivory’s A ROOM WITH A VIEW, especially considering Maggie Smith’s perfect dry wit.

This Christmas is all about the everlasting dreamboat who is Lea Thompson.

Whether it's STEALING CHRISTMAS (2003), THE CHRISTMAS CLAUSE (2008) or NEXT STOP, CHRISTMAS (2021), she always makes this spirit bright. 🥰🎁🌲

Trumplings are fascist scumbags for sure but that includes being stupid, nasty little brats at heart, lashing out wildly at a world that (correctly) loathes them
Oh nothing. Just a major conservative activist, former staffer for Chuck Grassley and a former clerk for Justice Neil Gorsuch calling me a "retarded pussy." Fun stuff on X, the everything site.

This is almost word for word what xenophobes in the 1930s and 1940s said about Miller's Jewish ancestors and relatives. He's so hateful he couldn't possibly recognize that of course.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

MIAMI VICE has too many great actors/creators in its history for this brief video to contain.

Add John Glover, Bob Balaban, Ellen Greene, and Harvey Fierstein.

Share a reliable character actor.

Brad Dourif and Joe Pantoliano are the first two I could think of.

But you know who is really overlooked?

Richard Masur.

Post a villain more fun to watch than the hero.

(The sidekick is more fun to watch than the hero, too).

#HappyThanksgiving to all, but remaining on brand...

Leigh and Lea. I finally watched the Cameo video that Lea sent me. I'm delighted to share the moon in Calgary with her, given she's working on "Anna Pigeon." She's so much more than an actor.

In a world filled with bad news, remember today that good happens unseen every day everywhere.

For instance, each Thanksgiving morning, this group of local families comes to the green in Hartford near our house to serve breakfast to the needy. No publicity. No hype. Just good.
