When @carolinerussell.bsky.social asked bus drivers how the job could be improved, little did she know she'd be stepping forward as London's Toilet Tsar. 🤭👍 In 2026 she leaves big shoes to fill on Islington Council but won't be keeping Londoners short of initiatives. 🙂🍏
Could not love Caroline more - she has not only been a great councillor, and an uncannily effective AM, but also puts so much work into supporting others in the party to do the same. The best colleague you could wish for 💚💚💚👏👏👏
📢 Some news from me. I’ll have been a councillor for 12 years in 2026. After the brilliant Green local election results last week, this is the right moment to let a new generation of voices come up in Islington. I’ll be stepping back from the council next year to focus on my London Assembly role.
