Renewables provide "clean energy" and it is a way for many in the United States and around the world to help make our planet healthier and more sustainable.
In a speech to the UN yesterday, President Trump falsely claimed that climate change is a "con job," that renewables are "too expensive," and that coal is "clean."

@apnews.com takes a closer look at the president's statements and the scientific reality.
In front of drowning nations, Trump calls climate change a 'con job.' Here are the facts and context

Let’s talk about the facts behind this government shutdown:

1. Democrats DIDN’T shut down the government.
2. Democrats have never proposed to give health care to undocumented immigrants.
3. We don’t have time to wait to act, because costs are already skyrocketing for millions of Americans.

I'm trying to imagine a Democratic president saying openly and proudly that he would be sending federal agents to target the 'Republican Power Center' in Texas, Florida, and Tennessee. We would be in the midst of a civil war before he'd finished saying those words.
Trump declares war on cities

“We must expand efforts to detain & deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as LA, Chicago, & NY, where Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, & other Cities, are core of the Dem Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base”

The IRA is a vital
Repealing the IRA's clean energy tax credits would be a bad move.

"Strip the IRA, and we lose supply chains. We lose factories. For what? To make China stronger? To make our grid weaker? To raise bills?"

Biden’s Secretary of Energy argues that if Trump wants to achieve his goals, preserving his predecessor’s manufacturing incentives is the only way.

The government ignored his protective legal status & deported Abrego Garcia. “Now they claim that the court is powerless to order any relief. If that’s true, the immigration laws are meaningless because the government can deport ANYONE & no court can do anything about it once it’s done.”

This isn't anti-DEI - it's retelling history as a story with only white men in it. The tale of the Navajo Code Talkers is essential to understanding the Allies' victory in WWII. Removing it because the people involved were non-white is segregationism.

This. Shout this from the rooftops. Add in the propaganda that tricks voters into thinking this is the American way and you’ve got the MAGA playbook.
🧵I know what the Trump administration is doing to the country because they’ve already done it to rural America.

They stripped public schools of funding. They closed our hospitals. They sold family farms for parts. They let our infrastructure rot. And then they gerrymandered us to keep us quiet.

I'm hearing directly from West Michiganders who are concerned over these cuts to NOAA and how it will impact our country's weather forecasting resources.

The Trump Admin must rethink these brazen layoffs to preserve the integrity of our federal workforce and the crucial services it provides.🧵
