This a @rfk-junior.bsky.social version of the flat earth. It would be tolerable a quaint and comparatively harmless if there weren't so many examples of his utter incompetence.

Tina Smith confronted her Senate colleague Mike Lee over his social media post that blamed the Minnesota lawmaker shootings on “Marxists.”

Watch the #MAGA Media Machine - AKA "X" and "Truth Social" execute an avalanche of obvious lies to their base.

MAGAs don't listen to much else, so unless you wade into the cesspool that X has become, they won't hear you.

They don't want to hear from you.
Tina Smith on Mike Lee: "I went to him and I said, 'Your message on social media showed the image of the man who killed my friend ... and your message is, this is what happens? You need to take responsibility and accountability ...' And I wanted him to hear that from me directly."

Big #TACO reverses himself. Exempting Farming, Hotels, and other sectors in his base. Deportations enraged his supporters.

There's no one left to deport except in the cities. This is a set up. Attack the cities, were there are far fewer #MAGA folks, then claim that their all gang-bangers etc....
Trump is sending ICE to blue cities to enact the "largest mass deportation program in history" and Chicago is at the top of the list.

I'm calling for every Democratic leader and candidate to stand against ICE, to call for its abolition, and to materially support immigrants.

Inaction is complicity.

This seems simple enough, but as we all know #Trump breaks the law often (convicted multiple times and overruled too many to count.) But attempts to claim his #MAGA folks are only concerned citizens. Right out of an Orwell novel.

The fantasyland of some of the right wing is astonishing. Incarcerating a kid without bothering to find a crime committed? Breathtakingly arrogant.
The new @lastweektonight.com piece on juvenile incarceration featured several @ProPublica stories.

First up was our 2021 investigation with @wpln.bsky.social about young Black kids in Tennessee jailed for a crime that doesn't exist:

The problem is that #Trump is FAR TOO ERATIC to be trusted. The same is true of #Musk.

No senior executive with any brains would believe they could get a factory built, re-shore a critical operation at a much higher labor cost, and then find out the Idiot In-Chief has changed his mind.

Fail!!
you have to be genuinely stupid as fuck to think american companies are going to respond to tariffs by building factories and moving manufacturing to the US. i don't know how else to say it. you have to be genuinely braindead

Ya think!! Geeeeesh!!! Tariffs are a tax on those who buy things, normal people. They will have a lot less buying power, causing slower growth. Taxes on imports drive retail prices higher, leading to inflation.

This is a low estimate. Obviously, it depends on how long the tariffs are in place. This will gut the economy of the US, with the average taxpayer taking the hit. #Billionaires won't feel a thing. #Trump for the win - what in #Idiot.
Seriously, don’t ever tell me “conservatives” are good with the economy again. There’s been a ton of evidence for a long time that it’s obviously not true, enough that people who’ve claimed that at any point should be embarrassed — but it’s so horribly clear now that the claim should make you angry.
