HE Information Professional. Actually made in Chelsea.
Back in the 80s I saw a band called The Climb support The Pretenders. I bought some of their album. Today I found out that they morphed into Thrashing Doves and am wondering how I didnt connect the two 🤦🏻‍♀️https://youtu.be/3WPW6ZGk9Wk?si=rCdJtDJWKniSfd0e

I’ve been saying for ages that Gen AI, and one product of that ilk in particular, will eventually eat itself. We just have to beware of becoming the sandwich filling.

I lived in Handsworth weeks after those riots in ‘85. Stuart Maconie is spot on here.
I know Handsworth well. I love it. The Soho Road is one of the most vibrant streets in the world. I was attached to the library there for a writing project last year and I wrote a whole chunk about it in my book Hope And Glory. Read it if you get a chance

It's an important thing to remember that Reform in Nottinghamshire have not just banned the Nottingham Post from engaging with them, but the LDRs: the Local Democracy Reporters who provide local political stories to a wide range of local outlets, including the BBC.

BBC 4 sending out some corkers tonight. Not played but I’ve always felt that this one from Sam Brown is underrated. It holds so many memories for me but I think I made the right decision 😉

Crime is roughly half what it was in the 90s. Britain is still one of the safest countries in the developed world.

So why does Reform want you to think London’s a hellscape? The Bear provides the answer ⤵️

Had some excellent news from a smartly dressed lady at a register office last week, which is that I'm now married. Shortly afterwards, also excitingly, though a bit less so, these paperbacks arrived of three of my back-from the-dead books. 1983 out August 14th. Villager & Help The Witch Sept 11th.

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

Today, the wonderful Tim Pollard, aka Nottingham's official Robin Hood, was buried after he died earlier this month.

His daughter, Scarlett, 11, wrote this for @thebeestonian.bsky.social, and it is brave beyond words.

My Bebo: A Memory of Tim Pollard, by his daughter, Scarlett - The Beestonian
To many, many people he was Robin Hood. To his friends, Tim. But to me he was, and will always be ‘Bebo’. Oh, apart from one day when we were making Mother’s Day cards at school. My mummy died when I ...

The Lights of Golden Ball Hill in North Wiltshire float and flicker through the fields.
Are they behind the hill’s name or is science to blame?
And what is their connection with crop circles and the haunted Rudloe Manor (aka Britain’s Area 51). 🟡🌾👻
