Hello, Bluesky! I’m Moss, a tabletop game/LARP/zine maker who takes great joy in making tiny, weirdly specific games. Some of my favorite projects of mine include LARPs playable while cooking, thrifting, or riding public transit, and This Party Sucks, a queer+trans breakup processing TTRPG.

One of the sillier aspects of combating issues like this is that as the corpos start to realize they don’t actually have wide support, they start going silent. CS did the same after about the 3rd week

The lack of feedback can have a pseudo-chilling effect on activists, don’t let it

I made a pack of magazine cut-out vowels for my "How to create an image" zine that I thought would benefit others!

These assets will be free later but you can access them right now for and support me in the progress of making these resources for $3! 💞

If u only care about trans people that look like what is societally deemed acceptable u are missing the fuck out. Shoutouts to trans people that don't get top surgery or have hair loss or are fat or have bad skin you are straight up angelic in my eyes I'm dead fucking serious

Reasons I will wear an N95 when teaching this fall 2025:
- WHO still classifies COVID-19 as a pandemic
- WHO still recommends masking in indoor public spaces
- 5 years watching long-COVID progressively disable my husband
- don't like participating in eugenics
- want to protect my cats and your kids
Some reading on that if you’re curious.

“‘The research shows that any mask is much better than no mask, and an N95 is significantly better than the other options. That’s the No. 1 message,’ says the study’s senior author, Donald Milton, a professor of environmental health.”

Having a fantastic time at Furswap 2 in the Quality Flea Center in Seattle! I have more of my micro zine earrings made for sale and it’s delightful to watch people’s reactions to them. Definitely one of my current favorite creative projects.

if you havent made any calls, or shipped any letters or sent any emails yet, and you feel like its "too late":

dont. its not too late. now is literally a perfect time to start joining in and contacting legislators and paypros in whatever way works best for you.

its a marathon, not a race!
for those of you that have somehow made it this long without ever calling: you literally just have to list the bills. you don't have to give a reason. if you get a person, they won't ask you why. if you get a voicemail, just say your address at the beginning. it took me less than 5 minutes to call 3

"Age verification" laws are actually "upload your ID or get your face scanned to access every website, ending anonymity and associating your identity with everything you do online" laws and if more people understood that they would not be down for this authoritarian nonsense

In case you're wondering why a youth sex ed site would create something like this—a leading cause of youth homelessness is coming out as LGBTQ to your parents. I'm a big fan of Scarleteen & you should throw them a donation if you can.
The Kicked Out series is a multi-part compilation of resources, advice, and one of our go-to safety guides for unhoused and transient youth. We're excited to announce that this series is expanding even more with two additional pieces coming soon! www.scarleteen.com/read/cultu...

Of course I would end up making a #perzine about collars and self care right around the time that itchio, the place where I generally host zines (and a number of sites generally, due to payment processor BS and pressure from fearmongering groups) does a crackdown on NSFW content.

In last year's @goldencobra.bsky.social awards, I think there were a few games about parenting, because one of the categories was "Best game that lets children be present". We put that in to encourage games that let parents play, but parenting often became the subject.

The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.

I have this vision of printing super micro mini zines on Rite in the Rain paper so that they’re weather resistant and can hold up better as custom charms on earrings - I still have to see how actual design tests look/feel once my paper order arrives, but I’m enjoying riffing on the idea already!

I’ll be tabling here on Sunday! Super excited to see the rich range of creative work folks bring to share/sell/trade at one of my favorite masks-required events.
We made a Bluesky!! Can't wait to see you all on July 20th at Seattle Zine Fest 2025!!!!

Popping in for a minute to say that it really sucks that the murder bill passed Congress and ALSO to thank every single person who tried to stop the bill from passing. What you did matters. Finally, I wrote a few words: open.substack.com/pub/prisoncu... - I hope they might offer some encouragement.

In a time where the LGBTQ+ community, especially trans folk, are under threat and being stripped of rights, I acknowledge how lucky I am to have this opportunity. But still, I wanna revel in the queer joy. And then fight like hell for my friends. 💖 (4/4)

I'm so happy to hear this piece of design resonated with you! It was the direct result of playtesting and seeing the ways the game's sometimes tender and complicated emotional content resonated with players, making them wince at evoked memories of their younger, messier selves, but still leaning in.
My absolute favorite piece of design in the game is a safety/calibration tool: "#IFCOBPC" (“I feel called out, but please continue”)

You are to use this when you cringe or feel a little too seen but it's ultimately fine (or even enjoyable) and you want to keep exploring it

When I originally wrote Riding the Ley Line and formatted it as a zine, my goal was to make it look like a bus pass or a folded map, but I didn't quite have the technical know-how at the time to make that layout work how I wanted it to. In the Dahlia's Diversions version, it truly is a transit map!
July 2, 2025 at 1:10 AM
My solo public transit LARP “Riding the Ley Line” got the most beautiful makeover for its inclusion in this collection! You can still pledge to get an amazing collection of richly varied games even though the main funding campaign has wrapped up.
THANK YOU to everyone who pledged their support for Dahlia's Diversions for Peculiar Parties and helped make the campaign a success!

Late pledging is now open on BackerKit.
