Seriously folks - important note about Canadian culture. It's basically just Ontario that has bagged milk. Not all of Canada. And no, when you say Ontario, it doesn't refer to all of #Canada. LOL
Outside of Canada, many assume that the entire country uses bagged milk.
The truth is, only part of Canada have bagged milk in the fridge.
But why? Well, it comes down when Canada made the transition to the metric system.
This is the story!

Today is British Home Child Day.
This is the annual day that Canada acknowledges and honours the over 100,000 children who were sent from the UK to Canada to work on farms and in homes.
They were separated from siblings and many were abused.
This is their story.

Can we have a conversation about #vaccines and #disability in #canada
This is a #publichealth issue I hope the profile can be raised on.
The ability for families to find neuro-affirming/supportive spaces to get their kids vaccinated is a laborious task where in some cases parents just give up. /1

Misinformation reduced uptake of vaccines so lack of demand now used as justification for defunding. Huh?

The reality is that COVID vaccines:
- save lives & reduce hospitalization
- reduce healthcare costs
- improve pregnancy outcomes
- reduce risk of long COVID
- etc etc etc

Random question re: #covid19vaccine in #Alberta - #HealthCareWorkers are eligible for #Vaccine. What if a person has their #HCA degree (and is working in a private home as a #caregiver for a person with #disability)? Do they qualify for the vaccine? Define #HCW? #abpoli #abhealth
