My almost 4yo just said he wants a chocolate cake for his birthday with a mouth and eyes (the plan previously was stripes/rainbow themed). Oh and also stripes and rainbow decorations and specifically googly eyes.

Went to Walgreens for my covid and flu shots and they said they don't take my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and it would be over $200 out of pocket. We're living in a failed state!

Cook, no question. I'm always fighting for the chance to host (and to cook most everything) but my in-laws usually pull rank. The one year I got close was 2020 where I cooked most of the food but we had to divide up food and eat together over zoom. It was a fun logistical culinary challenge!
Would you rather cook thanksgiving dinner or clean up after?
