🐦 Since 1970, chimney swift populations have 📉 by 90%.

Once nesting in hollow trees, chimney swifts adapted to city life — raising their young in chimneys after forests were cleared. But as old chimneys disappear & insect populations decline, these agile flyers are losing both homes & food.

Our Fish Habitat program creates real impacts for our trout species! 💧

LCN in collaboration with Myotistar have installed 3 new Motus towers in Niagara! These towers are part of a global network that records signals from radio transmitters attached to wildlife, including bats, birds and even insects!

You may think all maple leaves look alike, but being able to identify them can help you find invasive species. Norway Maple leaves are often mistaken for Sugar Maple leaves, but they do have some distinguishing features. Check out our graphic to learn how to ID this invasive #tree species!
