With Budget 2026, we thankfully see Women and Gender Equality funding protected from cuts. However, the Government has failed to take steps to modernize Canada's charity laws, limit the dangerous misinformation of anti-choice clinics or end the privileged tax deductions for clergy.

What's happening tonight in Alberta must be seen as an attack on public education itself. The use of the notwithstanding clause threatens all our rights and freedoms. It cannot be normalized like this.
