i think we need to avoid this line of thinking as we are approaching 4 years threatening immense censorship of women, LGBTs, and BIPOC, and saying we should ban smoking in movies because it’s bad irl adds to that. it’s a slippery slope. same with banning “spicy books”
also ive seen some of the wildest, more puritanical takes here, like “we shouldn’t portray smoking in media because it’s bad to smoke”. millennials need to be more self-aware (signed, a zillennial)

So much of game criticism right now is about some level of realism or coherence within a fantasy world when none of that matters.
