Very sad about the loss of D’Angelo, such a wonderful artist with the voice of angel. Voodoo and Black Messiah are two of the best albums of all time, both very important to me in college

Yes. If DHS can barge in, say your visa was revoked, be told you have a green card, say it's revoked too, and then disappear you so that neither your lawyer nor your family can find you, then all the guardrails are gone. There is no policy, practice, or law protecting anyone.

possibly the only consumer-focused computer application that works flawlessly, in this country, is Steam.
i could subscribe to HBO and watch the app glitch out in the middle of every important scene featuring a cast of professionals directed by professionals performing and important work, or, i can watch an unbroken 4h twitch stream of some jackass shouting half-remembered marx in between boss battles
it’s no fucking wonder that people get their news and entertainment from amateur weirdos on youtube and tiktok when every “serious” news and media company treats their customers and complaints to be defeated, *of course* people look elsewhere.
