I somehow got off the train at Laytown instead of waiting one more stop to Drogheda? And then when I got off the train there was a large crowd gathered in the town square? And they nearly immediately started a countdown and turned on the village Christmas lights? This feels significant.

I recorded side A of our split to a cassette using my Tascam and flipped the tape to record side B and realised in real time that the 4 track records to 4 tracks. I fucked around with trying to record side B in reverse but fucked it up so bad I have to do it all again tomorrow 👍 diy means diy

Absolutely wrung out by Our Share of Night. I thought I was at the limit with child death, horrific abuse causing generational mental scarring, hospitals, debilitating illness and "evil" writ large, but there is a brutal late crescendo of early 90s HIV epidemic deaths. Devastating. 10/10

Absolutely wrung out by Our Share of Night. I thought I was at the limit with child death, horrific abuse causing generational mental scarring, hospitals, debilitating illness and "evil" writ large, but there is a brutal late crescendo of early 90s HIV epidemic deaths. Devastating. 10/10
I kept mostly out of the pit at the Haywire show after a light tap on the side of the head during Last Wishes (who were genuinely scary!). Happily, I was in the paint long enough to receive a black metal spike bracelet double puncture which looks like I've been bitten by a meek Dracula.

I just saw a young lad cutting up poached eggs to put into a breakfast burrito (which was itself made of 70% scrambled egg). What is in eggs that causes young lads to need them so badly?
Young lads in the work canteen are always buying phenomenal amounts of eggs. The kitchen is run ragged poaching giant trays, and there is always a queue.

Just cycled along the quays during the taxi protest and it's instructive to remember you can have 2 enemies. Uber sucks, but the Irish taxi drivers federation isn't exactly the UMWA.
Taxi drivers in Dublin are staging a protest against Uber's new fixed rates, which is expected to create major traffic delays in the city and at Dublin Airport.
The go-slow protest began at 4:30pm today and is set to last until 6:30pm.
