serious answer: society doesn't like women to have friendship so close that they can sustain each other if a heterosexual relationship goes left, because society goes along the abusive pattern that the romantic relationship must be valued above all others, who will be discarded for the boyfriend.
the galentines discourse is sooo odd to me. what is so confusing about friendship? women don't need much reason to get their friends together and will use any holiday, film release, or theme to encourage them. SO WHAT? how does it hurt anyone?

whenever I say most vets have a complicated relationship with their service this is the sorta stuff I mean tbh
if i could go back to early 2010, to the age of 18 w/ what i know now of how things play out for me, etc. as much as my relationship with the military was mild at best and i have such weird feelings about it esp aligning with my beliefs now? i hate to say it but i'd prob still enlist...

his term has done some good things yes but like let's not pretend like he isn't still helping fund & arm genocide, which idk maybe it's just me but that doesn't feel very compassionate and like a commitment to the greater good... exact opposite, actually!

spent new years with mom & we ended up chatting a lot. of course the convo eventually ends up at my dad. nye was the 1 year point of me going almost 100% no contact (I've exchanged maybe 10 messages at most since). thankful he didn't message me again for any reason.

admittedly, i think i've been not-so-quietly been dealing with the anniversary effect that has been... not great lol it's been going in and out. but yeah... it'll be one year on nye of me not talking to my dad. since last nye i've exchanged only five messages w/ him... (1/3)
