Car Maniac does it again.
He shows us what BMW will unleash next year:
10 min = 53 kWh added,
15 min = 71 kWh added,
20 min = 85 kWh added, a true German designed #chargingmonster
⚡️⚡️⚡️ (and mind you: this was a 350kW charger, the car "needs" 400kW!)

Better public transport, better places for pedestrians and better cycle ways/ cycle friendly junctions all go together.

So, a new metro network in Paris could also see more people cycling.
A better bus service in #Oxford could see more people cycling.

Let's get joined up!

When power went out across all of Puerto Rico on 16 April, a lot of the lights in the town of Adjuntas stayed on. A combination of experimental microgrids, solar panels, and storage kept power on for many businesses and residents.

Well, this is pretty terrifying. The Daily Mail is buying the Telegraph.

One massive consolidated right-wing media empire controlled by off-shore interests at a critical moment in global politics.

What could go wrong?

Always remember ... "A" customs union is not "The" Customs Union. It doesn't bring the benefits of the Single Market – and it intentionally avoids the issue of Freedom of Movement. We need the Single Market and we need Freedom of Movement. The public is far further than the politicians on this.

Gotta say, it’s a hard time to be a historian of medicine whose focus was pre-antiseptic / pre-vaccine era.
Can’t believe the whole country has to suffer through the return of Dickensian childhood diseases because the worst, most ignorant attention-demanders decided other people’s expertise makes them feel bad

Plug-in Solar Rising

Utah passed law, exempting solar systems 1,200 watts or smaller from interconnection rules.

If 5 plus states adopt reforms, study forecasts:

Cost of plug-in solar falls to ~$0.50/watt & payback to 3-4 years.

24 million homes use it!

Here’s something that’s really important for everyone to understand.

If we design our cities just for cars, they fail everyone, including drivers.

If we design our cities with many great CHOICES in how to get around, they work better for everyone, including drivers.

Spread the word.
