Opinion polling had the race within the margin of error yet she won by a huge margin, with 95% of votes counted she is 13% ahead. Even more significantly, turnout is up 23% over the previous governor’s election and only 25% down from the 2024 general election turnout. 3/3

So far I don’t see that the NJ election is being given the attention it deserves. The winner, Ms Sherrill, was a first time candidate, did not run a strong campaign, did not have clear answers to what she would do in office, and was up against a very canny, well funded, experienced Republican. 2

The results yesterday, especially here in New Jersey, suggest that the anti-Trump tide is very strong and is more powerful than any opinions about a candidate. 1/3

Imagine how the Republicans in Congress would react if a Democrat did this. So why aren't Democrats demanding a Congressional inquiry, loudly and insistently?
White House acknowledges several top Trump officials plotted Yemen strikes in unclassified group chat that included Atlantic editor.

The group chat appeared to involve key national security figures, including Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, according to the Atlantic.

Jeff, in an interview some years ago, Baker describe his job as providing entertainment. At least he's consistent if amoral and lacking decency.

I do not think these really bright Republicans have realized that if Canada were the 51st state the US would have a built-in Democratic majority for the indefinite future.
I had to check this wasn't some sort of deepfake. This monster can get stuffed. Getting far worse than even I thought it would be. Solidarity with our Canadian friends and allies.
President Trump declares that the US will no longer provide military protection unless Canada becomes the “51st state”

Surely everyone on the left should be supporing the idea of Canada as the 51st state. This would guarantee a Democratic Senate and Presidency for the foreseeable future.

The UK, France, etc. have sent vast amounts of munitions and money and taken in tens of thousands of refugees. Does anyone think Putin will stop at Ukraine if we back down? Ask the Fins and the Poles.
He's should, I'm tired of paying for the war. Europe barely contributes and Trump will give Putin whatever he wants. I can guarantee Ukraine would send us nothing if we needed it - yet here we are, the world's ATM - I for one am over it.

Same here, macOS 15.2 on M2 Mac mini. Must be a future feature though I don't see the value of it.
OK, #macOS experts... Can you help me?

macOS 15.2 on a 2021 14" MacBook Pro. In the Messages app, I click on View, "Show tab bar" and "Show all tabs" are grayed out. I can't find anything in Settings to configure this and I don't think I've ever seen tabs in Messages. Can I enable Messages tabs?

Totally agree that AOC's community, and everyone else, does not have the option to lose. Which is why she and colleagues should have acted much sooner and more effectively. Weeks, maybe months, have been lost in indecision and dithering.
"I have not seen an alternative scenario that does not set us up for a lot of peril." -- a cautious @aoc.bsky.social in a long chat with her people warning against rash decisions. She also decries defeatism. "My community does not have the option to lose."
