A red grouse (Lagopus scotica) I encountered in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh last summer, demonstrating its very human-like alarm call. He seemed extremely cross that I'd had the audacity to ride my mountain bike across his patch and chased me along the trail for quite some distance.

Different field, same vibe: demand for free, off-the-cuff legal advice, then pushback when I tell them I don’t practice in that area and/or am not admitted in their jurisdiction
Not so much a question as a demand for an immediate massage no matter the social setting, or “oh your friends must love the free massages, are you looking for new friends”.
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!
