I think everyone in books/tv/etc should call people "you rascals" more often because it's just so funny when the context does not call for it at all. Having an argument in the middle of a banquet? "Those crazy rascals!" Accidentally murdered a guy? "You little rascals..!"

Been waffling over whether I wanted to jump into a Spotify subscription since I saw they're going to get some light novel audiobooks. But then I saw mentions they're constantly delivering ICE ads so I guess I'll just find a different way to get the audiobooks.

It has been a long time since I was stressed enough to make my stomach hurt all night so guess I'm not sleeping before the thing. At least it isn't kidney stones like one of the other times I had to figure out Christmas plans for my family.

Still debating whether I actually ask my parents when the family Thanksgiving thing is (I sorta inferred it's this weekend based on FB pics on Thursday) or if I use the excuse of I didn't know when it was to not show up cuz, well, nobody invited me and I also don't wanna go.

This is a very important message that these words should not be used as insults. I've learned over the years not to use this one or other terms describing mental illnesses. It's a shame more don't have the vocabulary to avoid it, but abelism is deeply ingrained in them like racism, I guess.
I simply cannot with this.
The r-word is a demoralizing slur that should NEVER be used as an insult. Trump did it yesterday and plenty of otherwise tolerant blue accounts jumped on board using it to describe Trump instead.
Take the pledge below to stop using the r-word. It is wholly unacceptable.

I don't see why anyone has to take orders from some edgy group thinking they are hot stuff calling themselves the Department of War...

Me picking out books for the kids to read for school: This guy was a prick in Bungo Stray Dogs so they shouldn't read his books.

Totally logical reason, yes.

Alright. I’m home and got to read the whole article and fucking hell @altssa.altgov.info I only got back this morning after needing to literally calm myself about the fate of ACA.

Alright buttercups… brace yourselves.

This is a lot to digest. And honestly? Where the fuck to begin with this?

Childcare concerning mental health is really hard... Are you maybe ruining this tiny human forever while doing what you thought was right?

It's some kind of awesome sorcery that I've randomly picked good things so many times in a row. Also really bad sorcery because I forget to go to bed because of good reading...

Dropping money for buying from the international official store cuz it's still cheaper and easier even with tariffs than dealing with Hot Topic's customer service about giving me an in stock item. Kids want their Murder Drones and Digital Circus stuff...

Went to vote. They didn't even have the whole school gym open, only the lobby. It's like they don't think people are gonna come which is very sad...

Daughter bought a bunch of Murder Drones blind box figures and was super happy, but dropped one and its head fell off. Thankfully she had gotten a duplicate, but you'd think $20 figures would be a little less flimsy.

🚨BIG changes happening -- ICE leadership is being purged tonight. The old guard, which prioritized targeted enforcement operations aimed at people with criminal records, is being replaced with Border Patrol and Gregory Bovino's "Midway Blitz" style.

Think things are bad now? It'll get worse.

Musk: X will delete all heuristics from its recommendation system within six weeks. ...the familiar logic of likes, replies, and reposts that shaped Twitter for years is about to disappear. In its place, Grok, the platform's in-house Al model, will read and watch more than one hundred million posts.

Cleaning the house is always fun because I sneeze for the rest of the day after dealing with so much dust. There is too much dust... Even after one day it is back. Begone, dust.

Did the covid/flu vaccine thing today for another year in a row since it started, but first time I nearly passed out from it. Don't go in there hungry, folks... Scared my daughter a lot though so sorry. :(

The end of federal enforcement of special ed laws. Some states - including MN - will likely be ok. But a lot of disabled kids in a lot of states are going to lose the education that federal law and decades of jurisprudence say they are owed.
