These are beautiful actions from both men but, like the paying off of student lunch debt, why do they have to do this?
I want a society and government that takes care of the people and is not reliant on a few decent wealthy people to cover it up.

I saw that Taco John's in my hometown was doing something like this, so we jumped on the bandwagon. Unbelievable bullshit that its even necessary.

"We should be making life better for each other.”

That's it!
Holy shit, Danny Devito just summed up my entire belief system, which I always felt needed a lot more words.
🔥DANNY DEVITO: “Absolutely, I’m a social democrat… I love Bernie… I’m for Medicare for All… if we can bail out the banks we can forgive student debt… I’m not a fan of the president… we should be making life better for each other.”

I don’t get the silence from the media.
What are the reasons?
Scared?
Supportive of the policies?
Financial incentives?

All of the main players are quiet in the same way.

Which conspiracy is it?
JD Vance said he doesn’t care if the US commits war crimes. Did it make the news?

Donald Trump said he’s declaring war on Chicago. Did it make the news?

Executive agencies keep posting Nazi blood-and-soil propaganda. Did it make the news?

There are fireworks and members of the administration are being held accountable or at least being questioned to their faces.
It's good tv and it seems like it should be good for news coverage.
So yeah, why isn't it getting more play?
Sincere question.

Democrats have been lighting up Trump officials in hearings, many of which, not all, are yearly appropriations hearings. it's really fun to watch, mostly.

Why aren't you seeing that? What would it take you to do so? To make it go viral?

@repdelbene.bsky.social, I'm one of your constituents. This is just one example of what seems like thousands of abusing and masked unidentified people kidnapping and assaulting whomever they like. ICE? There must be something you can do. File suit. Yell on the news daily? Please.
Track them down along with their families and let the trials begin. Cowards!!

It helps me feel less like a nervous Ned when I see people in power, especially police, expressing the concerns I have. Although, I guess I'd much rather be overreacting then really be worried about this sort of authoritarianism.

"I meant to mention how Trumpism must continue to seem like an inexplicable atavism to so many sensible liberals and moderates, in something like the way that Nazism appeared to be to Wells. History simply CANNOT reverse itself so grossly." - Paul Campos

A LOT of people do not want to hear it but in the United States at least, food has never been safer to eat, not to mention tastier
We are living in one of the few times in human history where you can buy a loaf of bread and if it says it’s made with wheat flour and salt and yeast and water and nothing else, it’s probably made from just those ingredients, and some people want to END this.

Yes.
This article fired me up. I wholly support the Democrats maintaining a constant presence in El Salvador and putting the media screws to the administration until he's freed and the rule of law is followed.

As much as I dislike a lot of aspects of our property insurance system, I've always thought that they would be a key player in dealing with global warming, or at least highlighting its effects, since it is so directly tied to money and their profits.
You can ignore climate change. The political system can ignore climate change. But the insurance industry cannot ignore climate change.
