Progressive father, lawyer, cyclist, thinker. Hopeful that the USA will one day live up to the promise of the Declaration of Independence. Dumbfounded that we seem to be stuck in an historical feedback loop.
What a hideous monstrosity.
You know, I see folks going after the construction company building this monstrosity.

Why aren't people going after the funders? A lot of people gave a lot of money to build this thing. Why are they getting off the hook?

What award would the Kennedy Center have for a no talent ass clown?
Trump: Since 1978 the Kennedy Center honors have been amongst the most prestigious awards. I wanted one, never able to get one. I would have taken it. I waited and waited and waited and I said to hell with it, I'll become chairman. I will give myself an honor. Next year we'll honor trump, okay?

Of course! They are only allowed to be shills for the right!
Totally normal stuff: the U.S. president once again threatening to shut down media outlets for reporting the news. Just a wannabe dictator doing his thing.

This should be nothing but a “no duh” outcome, but sadly in this day and age, “no duh” outcomes are not a given.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit wrote that Mr. Trump's order is "invalid because it contradicts the plain language of the Fourteenth Amendment's grant of citizenship to 'all persons born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.'"

Re Velvet Sundown:

Someone is confusing songs about dust and wind.

“The band’s lyrics, too, were a perfect mesh of generic anti-war sentiments and other clichés like “Nothin’ lasts forever but the earth and sky, it slips away, and all your money won’t another minute buy.”

How bad is Trump’s Big Abominable Bill?

When the richest man alive, Elon Musk, criticized it, Trump’s allies threatened to have him deported from the United States.

*That’s* how bad they *know* the bill is. *That’s* how much it’s pork-laden fare for rich American elites *only*.
