I've just had to prove I exist to teach at a university.

Pictures of me and my passport were taken.

And the machine replied.

'Your LIVENESS has been confirmed.'

The AI tick of existence.

Madness.

Late to the party but: NFTs and crypto are an affect of a society that has enclosed all publicly owned assets and so as to not impede the flow of capital has invented a system of ownership where you buy something whose only function is to verify that you own it. 1/?

Unpopular opinion:
Stone Cold Steve Austin is the Watchmen of wrestling.
He's extremely good, important, and influential.
He is also single handedly responsible for the worst audience response gimmick that has ever existed and has inspired dozens of shitty imitations that don't understand the source

Please do support your local libraries.

We're losing 40 libraries a year.

They are such an essential part of our communities.

Please, if you can, contact your MP or councillors before its too late.

Reading Hilary Mantel's short stories collection, it really is so good at times. There's this really well-written story about these two sisters, one of which has anorexia. Love it so much!

Every single school should have a library & a librarian, to help every single child find the books that will make them readers, and give them all the lifelong benefits of literacy. Libraries & librarians change children's lives FOREVER!
