Games media can't ignore BDS Xbox boycott

After reporting the news, games media must now grapple with what the call to boycott Xbox means for us. I wrote about why we must and how we can orient games writing towards liberation. Games nor words alone will save us, but we can as individuals express solidarity and possibility in all we do.

I say this with utmost respect, but Taylor is an absolute tool for saying this privately or publicly.
I can say on good authority that it takes 7 to 10 years to develop game development skills to “good enough” to produce commercial game content. 7-10 years plus the cost of a university education.

The NY Game Awards are this weekend! The awards part of it is fun and all, but the real purpose of this stuff is to help support some really fantastic community programs in NYC. I'm freshly amped up on the power of New Yorkers to support one another, so especially excited about this year.
Magfest was real inspiring to be surrounded by so many people who just Make Stuff (cosplay art music games etc etc) really wanna come back with a crew and be one of the bajillion pretty cosplayers who also does something cool and out of character like play a trumpet or smthn
