4. Have autism support kits.
5. Have Narcan on hand for overdoses.
6. Have developmental toys
7. Have language learning databases.
8. Lend laptops & hotspots.

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

I know this sounds weak, I know it.

But kindness is one of the few things we carry that can make a difference for each other.

We can’t undo all this hate, but we can still make life a little easier for others.

I dedicated years of my life to reporting on January 6 and exposing what happened. I was there that day, co-wrote a book, and published a series of major stories on my own, for Rolling Stone, and for TPM.

I hope it mattered. I hope history will remember and understand what happened.

Gentle reminder that you can log off today and exercise, volunteer, play video games, run errands, crochet, bake banana bread, see a friend, binge any TV show, play with your baseball cards, tidy your junk drawer(s), bury yourself in work, whatever you need to do to protect your peace. ❤️
