I live in the Florida woods with my partner. Two cats. Wild beasties everywhere.
People have already chosen their coverage! What happens to those who had to select crappy coverage because it was all they could afford? No matter what Congress does now, people are stuck with those plans.
Q: You guys were out for 2 months during the shutdown. Why has it taken until the end of the year to start addressing these healthcare bills? And what's your message to those who are going to see their premiums rise?

MIKE JOHNSON: We have been working steadily producing ideas trying to address this

(quote below is law prof describing their classroom)

I nearly wept at this one. I best absorb new info when I am doodling. Had to hide that from most profs.
I permitted multi-tasking as long as it wasn't disruptive to their peers.

Many students absorb information through passive listening while doing other things. I certainly do. Fine by me.

@frost.house.gov from one Floridian to another, this is an excellent idea and I hope the Florida Dems do it.
I actually think the dems should attend the SOTU, wait till the 2nd sentence, and then walk out en masse, that'll do it, there'll be no address, he'll just have a meltdown on national Tv

And in the second picture is happily inside her foster home (in North Florida). She gets spayed next week and will be looking for her forever home soon after!!!

Post somebody you've been told you look like, who you definitely don't look like.

When I was young and pretty, I, too, had a mop of curly dark hair and a toothy smile.

Optimist: The cup is half full.
Pessimist: The cup is half empty.
Graphic designer: If we switch to oj, it will really make the cup pop
Defendant: The cops knocked over my water glass and spilled it

Cops: Your mother looks threatening, we’ll spill her water too

Media: Defendant arrested in water-spill-related incident, cops report. Why is crime out of control?
Optimist: The cup is half full.
Pessimist: The cup is half empty.
Orchid grower: Your cup needs holes in it.

Remember: if you know someone who's undocumented, no you fucking don't. If you know someone who's getting/got an abortion, no you fucking don't.

Mind your own business.

@portianoir.bsky.social so happy to find you on here. A million years ago, I followed you on tiktok. But tiktok was bad for my mental health and I left. You are one of the people I still missed. (don't worry if you don't remember me, I spent more time watching than interacting, lol)

This puts me in mind of once trying to explain the difference between "fans of Star Trek" and "Trekkies"
/3 In case the distinction escapes you, gamers are people who enjoy games and Gamers are people prone to getting agitated if an imaginary character in one of their games has insufficiently huge breasts

Late 1970s circus bill. Allegedly removed from side of building "without permission." Alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
