Unbelievable. A war criminal nominating a convicted felon who got rid of USAID for the Nobel Peace Prize. I don’t see any peace in the countries he claimed he would end their wars on day one of his presidency. Two grifters both rotten to the core.

It is doubtful that first lady Melania Trump, aka Melanija Knavs, had legitimately qualified for a so-called "Einstein visa" — as employment-based visas for people with extraordinary abilities are known — to become a permanent resident, and then a citizen, of the U.S.

I read the following interesting article in NRC: "Trump seems determined to 'screw' the European allies, but in the end America 'screws' itself." It is in Dutch. Google Translate helped out.

Our current President is a traitorous, convicted felon, and a court-adjudicated rapist who lacks the intelligence, character, decency, and cognitive ability to lead. His presence is doing us irreparable harm.

We should not normalize him, but normalize stating the truth about him.

Flattery can be perceived as manipulative and insincere, especially when it's excessive or obvious. Reliance on flattery hinders genuine communication and leads to a lack of trust. While it can create a positive initial impression, it isn't sustainable if the flatterer's intentions are not genuine.
Italian Proverb: "He that flatters you more than you desire either has deceived you or wishes to deceive." Minna Antrim: "Between flattery and admiration, there often flows a river of contempt." Flattery's primary purpose is to gain favour, or a desired outcome from the person being flattered.

Yes, Donnie, denial of truth is so much more comforting than accepting an inconvenient truth. It's a psychological defence mechanism where individuals reject a truth to avoid discomfort or anxiety associated with it. This makes Trump unsuitable to be a U.S. President. Truth has relevance to policy.

“Mission Accomplished” all over again.

This isn’t the end of the Iran conflict. It’s just the beginning.

Trump’s illegal strikes didn’t destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and he has no plan for what happens next. And American Troops could pay the price.

One problem is that Trump is always so anxious to declare victory and seek credit/adoration/prizes for it that he gets out in front of reality to create his fan fiction. It’s all about short-term “wins” for Trump and Fox news cycles, not anything lasting, durable, or sustainable.

He bombed Iran to divert attention from his disastrous military birthday parade, out of control ICE raids, cratering poll numbers and tanking economy but now that the bombings were a failure, he'll probably try to amp up his domestic terror agenda to distract from the disastrous bombings.
